Something like over 90% of Pulitzer Prize photographs were pure luck.
1) accidental shutter releases
2) inadvertent presence on the scene of 'an event'
3) accidental change in F-stop settings
4) the dog stepped on the camera at the perfect moment
What makes a photo great? The captured image, regardless of how it got there.
